Join the Junior League of Kalamazoo for an inspiring talk: Redefining Strength: How Women Leaders Can Lead Without Carrying It All.
Women are often praised for being strong — resilient, capable, dependable — yet many discover that this definition of strength quietly trains them to overextend, self-silence, and carry responsibility alone. In this talk, Dr. Khutso Madubanya invites attendees to gently examine the myth of strength and how it shapes women’s leadership, service, and sense of self. Using her P.I.V.O.T.™ Method, she offers a practical and compassionate framework to help women pause internal pressure, reconnect with identity, and lead from self-trust rather than self-sacrifice. Participants leave with a renewed understanding of strength that supports sustainable civic leadership and personal wellbeing.
The talk begins at 6:30pm in the Conference Room at Pretty Lake Camp (in the Powell Gymnasium building). If you’re not a JLK member, RSVP here.
